So small in height, but they bring spades of joy.
These hyacinth beauties filled my pots sitting at the backdoor with vibrant colour last year and I am keeping my fingers crossed they will again.
Recently, after a long break from planting bulbs, I purchased several varieties including daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and ranunculus, planting them in different beds around my garden. As soon as the first green spike popped out of the dark rich dirt, I was reminded how much joy bulbs gave me. I loved watching the green spikes grow strong and push through the earth and up towards the sky and then the anticipation of their buds turning into flowers and waiting for the colour explosion.
I will definitely be planting bulbs again. So, watch this space!
